Prof. Ayşe Arzu Ruacan, was born in 1960 in Bursa. She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1984. She finished her residency at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pathology in 1990. She became an Associate Professor of Pathology in 1994. Between 1996 and 1997 she worked in the research laboratories of Sheffield Kidney Institute in UK. She received her Professor degree in Pathology in 2002. She worked in Hacettepe University between 1986 and 2010 and she was the head of the deparment of pathology between 2004 and 2009. Between 2008 and 2010 she served as the President of The Turkish Federation of Pathology Societies. She has been working at Koç University Faculty of Medicine since July 2012.
