Dr. Ciğdem Arıkan completed her high school education in Istanbul Erenkoy High school in 1995 and then graduated from İstanbul University Medical Faculty. She got her degree on children’s health and diseases in Marmara University İn the year 2001, the same year in Ege University she started Child Gastroenterology, Hepatology and nutrition science as a side branch and graduated in the year 2005. Between the years 2005-2006 she worked in Texas Childrens Hospital Liver research center. Dr. Çiğdem Arıkan won 6 scientific awards, 2 abroad research scholarships ,62 international research articles and Her h-index is 22. She is the member of ESPGHAN,EASL,IPTRA ,Turkish Liver research association,Turkish Pediatric Association,Turkish Pediatric Gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition association, KEPAN and works as an advisor for many international magazines.
