He was graduated from Hacettepe University, School of Medicine in Ankara in 1997. In 2003, he completed his residency in the Department of Urology, Dokuz Eylul University, School of Medicine in Izmir, Turkey. During his residency, he spent 2 months in the Department of Urology, Catholic University of Leuven for uro-oncological training in Leuven, Belgium. He had clinical and research fellowships in The University of Sheffield, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Department of Urology in Sheffield, UK and also in Bristol Urological Institute (BUI) at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, UK for overall 1.5 years in 2004-2005. In 2008, he had 3 month fellowship on Laparoscopic Urology at The University of Heidelberg, SLK Kliniken Heilbronn, Department of Urology in Heilbronn, Germany. Between 2008 and 2018, he worked at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital and Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, School of Medicine, Department of Urology in Ankara, Turkey. Prof.Canda is board member of European Association of Urology (EAU) Robotic Urology Section (ERUS) and has been performing robotic urology since 2009. Prof.Canda has particular expertise on robotic prostate cancer surgery, robotic kidney cancer surgery and robotic bladder cancer surgery. He is also interested in training in robotic surgery and has taken part as a robotic urology trainer in many courses at international and national training centres, congresses and meetings. He has many international scientific publications on robotic urology and also has various awards on robotic urology received at international and national meetings including ERUS congresses. Since July 2018, he has been working at Koç University Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey.
