Emre Özoran graduated from Istanbul American Robert College in 2003. He attened medical school at Marmara University between 2003 and 2009, graduating as a medical doctor on July 2009. During medical school he completed general surgery and gynecology & obstetrics clerkships in the University of Bologna, Italy as an Erasmus scholar. He completed general surgery residency in Istanbul Education and Research Hospital between 2009-2015, and graduated on July 2015. During his residency he visited Cleveland Clinic Colorectal Surgery Department as an observer. He passed USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) and CSA (Clinical Skills Assessment) and was certified by the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) in 2015. He completed mandatory state service for the Turkish Ministry of Health between September 2015 and April 2017 in Agri State Hospital. He worked for Bezmialem Vakıf Üniversitesi between April and December 2017 before joining Koc University Hospital.
