Berkan Gürakan, M.D. was born in 1958 in Ankara. He graduated from Hacettepe University, School of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Gürakan completed his Pediatrics residency in 1985 and Neonatology residency in 1992 at Hacettepe University, School of Medicine. Dr. Gürakan stayed in Boston, Harward Medical School Brigham and Women’s Hospital as an observer in 1999. He was promoted to be Associate Professor of Pediatrics in 1997 and Professor of Pediatrics in 2002. He is clinical faculty member at the Koc University School of Medicine since 2012. Dr. Gürakan started to work as Chief of Department of Pediatrics at V.K.V. American Hospital in 2007.
