Dr. Murat AKSOY was born September 11th, 1970 in Istanbul. He has completed his preliminary and college education at Preliminary School of Sisli Terakki College and Kadikoy Anadolu College, respectively. He has completed his medical training at Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty, Istanbul University in 1994. He started General Surgery training at Taksim Hospital, Istanbul and completed his certification at Istanbul Medical Faculty, Istanbul University in 1999. He worked as the senior registrar at the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Unit, Istanbul Medical Faculty, Istanbul University, Turkey from 2000 to 2004. Starting from 2004, he worked as a FFI (Faisant Fonction d’Intern) at the Vascular and Endocrine Surgery Department, Henri Mondor Hospital, Creteil, France for a year. Since 2005, he is working at Peripheral Vascular Surgery Unit, Istanbul Medical Faculty, Istanbul University, Turkey.In 2006, he was promoted to Associate Professorship. In 2009, he passed the European Vascular Board Examination, which was organized by European Union of Medical Specialists-Vascular section (UEMS-Vasc) in Oslo. In 2013, he was titled as Professor of General Surgery. He worked at Amerikan Hospital from 2011 to 2012 and at Liv Hospital from 2013-2017. He is working at Amerikan Hospital starting form 2018.
