Herdem Aslan Genç, MD was born in Istanbul in 1987. She graduated from İstanbul Atatürk Science High School in 2004 and from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2010. She has studied one year of her medical school education in Westfaelische-Wilhelms Universitaet, Muenster, Germany. She completed her child and adolescent psychiatry residency training in Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 2016. During her CAP residency, she worked in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Center for Autism Research as a clinical research associate and completed observership in Portugal, Lisbon in community mental health service. She worked as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Erzincan Mengücek Gazi Training and Research Hospital on the grounds of state obligatory service between 2016 and 2018. In 2018 she started to work as an assistant professor in Istanbul Aydin University Hospital. Since February 2019, she has been working at Koç University Hospital.
