Dr Orhun Çığ Taşkın was born in Istanbul in 1986. He was graduated from Notre Dame De Sion High School in 2004 and Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2010. He completed his residency training in pathology at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pathology between 2011-2016. He completed his mandatory service at Dogubeyazit Doc. Dr. Yasar Eryilmaz State Hospital between 2016-2017. He worked as an observer in endocrine pathology in University Health Network, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, University of Toronto (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) in 2015; and in gastrointestinal pathology in Moffitt Cancer Center, Department of Pathology (Tampa, Florida, USA) in 2019. He has been working at Koç University Hospital, Department of Pathology since November 2017. His research and clinical interests include gastrointestinal and pancreatobiliary pathology, breast pathology and endocrine pathology.
