Banu Taşkın was born in 1978 in Malatya. She graduated from İzmir Selma Yiğitalp High School in 1996, and Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2002. She completed her speciality in Dermatology and Venereology at Ege University between 2003-2009. She worked at Siverek State Hospital for compulsory state service assignment between 2009-2011. She worked as a specialist at Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital between 2011-2013. She worked as an associated professor at İstanbul Bilim University and Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals between 2013-2017.
